Update in progress Videos from 3 months ago gone?

Noticed the same thing. Seems the files no longer exist where they would be expected to exist. 🤔Happy to help out if I can to diagnose it.

Host is migrating a node where vid8 storage vps is located. So new uploads are currently stored in a temporary one.

Will be completed by Sunday evening.

One possibility is that they were not mp4 files, but webm files which I think vid8 had permitted in the past. However, between 3 months ago and now was the event regarding jewgle's webm/webp exploit and I believe blocked/removed those files types in vid8/pic8. If that was the cause, your uploaded files would not exist or not be served.

I'm just offering a possible cause for it.

The webp ban was on pic8.co, not vid8.co

Ah, sorry. Thank you for clarifying that for me. I don't know why their mp4 videos on vid8 would go dead after 3 months then.

The storage vps is under migration (they will be done by tomorrow or Sunday evening.

Nevermind. I checked the embeds on the pages for the missing videos and they are set to load mp4 files. Unless they were webm files renamed as mp4, it was not related to what I noted in my first comment.
