Excluding most boomers, old white people are the most interesting of all to have a conversation with. They have a lot to talk about

They have stories for hours. It's great, because I work with a bunch of those dudes, one of them being my boss, and I get paid to listen to his stories for hours occasionally. They're great stories too.

When I was a kid i knew this old couple and the husband was always trying to tell me old war stories. The wife would always tell him to shut up and that nobody wanted to hear his stupid stories. It's too late now but, I did...

Not bitching. Just genuinely curious. Why did you downvote this, @DivineLight ?

You mean the silent generation. Not boomers.

That's why he excluded them.

Some people have zero reading comprehension, just waiting to pwn someone whenever they get a chance.

Wholesome! It’s genuinely good to know people like this exist still.

It’s also nice that they’re oblivious to how the world is actually working. “Thanks to your generous selling of your VHS player.” When the reality is that there’s a 95+% chance that the seller picked up the vhs player from a goodwill or a yard sale for $5 and then sold it on eBay for $75+

Aaand then there's the blackpillers. Dude, chill. He was just being polite.

[–] 1 pt

Knowing that the vast majority of sellers on eBay are resellers makes me blackpilled?

We're nothing but memories we made for ourselves and others at the end of our lives. Make good memories, make visceral memories, and make daring memories.

VCRs are like unicorns. Nearly impossible to find good ones, and expensive if you do. My player broke so I threw it out thinking I could find a cheap replacement. They used to be sub $100 new. Not any more. Obsoleted.

Not many people know how to write a letter of appreciation anymore.

I found letters bmy Grandpa wrote my Grandma when he was in the Navy in the Pacific in WW2. There is something to holding a letter , written by someones hand , something tangible from history.

Texts and emails just don't do justice to some experiences , imho

For a year, I wrote my dad every two weeks. He was very appreciative of the letters. More so than a text, email or even a phone call. Most of those are fleeting, whereas a written letter, by hand, is always special.

I also used a fountain pen when I did write, so it never looked like anything else available.

In a way, handwriting is a type of personality trait. I can see how that makes the document feel more alive

Fact check: buyer was sold a betamax so partially true.

Hope it was worth it boomer, we’re fucked now.

Niggers don't appreciate family and friends like this.
