I have personally grown weary of the hype surrounding AI. This is because every time some system does something "unexpected", the researchers believe this is because the machine "thought"... No, you retards, it's just that you didn't expect it.

Perhaps, AI attempts are just fertilizer to set the stage in the gen pop's mind to accept AI when it "happens." And by happens, I mean that they figure out a way to transfer a person's brain into a biologically based machine.
