I'm pretty hopeful about this.
I honestly am too. Like although Gab does have its imperfections, how many folks do you know are actively building alternative solutions to the hellholes of Silicon Valley?
Nice! Although I was hoping for a fork of f-droid.
That was the plan, but they changed it to building their own since they said F-Droid's code is horrendous.
I hope their app store can allow devs to upload their APK files or link their source code from Gitlab and have the app store build the source code into an APK like FDroid.
F-droid hates Gab and went out of their way to stifle them.
It's pretty good. I know that because i'm on gab, so i got the news when it came.
So now I understand, they turned the Gab user interface into a monstrosity for their stupid app store so it's more android friendly. Glad I fucking let there. Hell they could have made a dual site with an interface for mobile phones and one for people that use real computers. Instead they made the interface as appealing as a turd sandwich.
What the fuck is an app store? This supposed to be used on the PC?
