In years past, the cellular network was very fragile. As in "A site can tell others to shut down, and there's no protection against simply issuing a command to tell everyone you're now offline."

I would hope that things are now much more protected. Knowing how the industry works, I doubt they are.

The industry is better than it used to be, but not good enough to withstand the mistakes made by H1B engineers.
