Citrix Workspace app for Linux (formerly called Citrix Receiver) lets you access Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops delivered by a Citrix server from your Linux machine.
I’m assuming that the Citrix is a server farm with Citrix desktop instances.
But maybe they are loading Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) with a local VDA (Virtual Delivery Agent) then that basically takes total control of the hardware. It has Chang protection, forces roaming profiles and shit like that.
If there are multiple versions of it, my IT department picked the most restricted, locked down version, and then added even more restrictions than the defaults.~~~~
Use virtual box in seamless mode to run a shitty windows VM on A Linux system so you can run Citrix and keep them from touching the rest of your system.
I do have a couple of systems with Cinnamon installed on them, I could give this a whirl and see how it goes.
