You don't try to hand carve something that a lathe could make far more accurately. Well, unless you don't have a lathe or you really enjoy the work and have mastered it.. Though, doing things at scale is nearly impossible like that.

I hate to say it but the more complex they get the harder they are to repair at this point. Unless its swapping a controller board or replacing bad components on a board its damn near pointless these days. (At least for large screens).

Yeah, ones I repaired in the past were maybe 20 inch at most. I'd only do driver board repair at this point. Even then it can be involved getting it open, and you need a big space to lay it out.
