You don't try to hand carve something that a lathe could make far more accurately. Well, unless you don't have a lathe or you really enjoy the work and have mastered it.. Though, doing things at scale is nearly impossible like that.

Yeah, ones I repaired in the past were maybe 20 inch at most. I'd only do driver board repair at this point. Even then it can be involved getting it open, and you need a big space to lay it out.
