Telephone system test numbers

There's a lot of old test numbers out there for the phone system - number readbacks, echo testing, tone testing, information lines, etc. They're not used much anymore, but for those who still work with switchgear they can be useful. They're also useful to forward spammy callers to, because the numbers are automated and will just take calls.

Disclaimer: I have no idea who runs this stuff anymore.

Some of the ones I still know about:

248-434-5508 Voice / Music Line Test 800-444-4444 Number Readback <--- This one has a menu tree for some reason 909-390-0003 Echo Test 503-697-1000 Milliwatt Tone Test

Thanks stupidbird. I have and use the all 4 one (havent used the menu tree) , Says its MCI but who knows, I just used to confirm lines. Thanks for the others

What's left of MCI was acquired by Verizon in 2006 - this service has to be at least 20 years old...
