Geeze, I still use 60Hz. Come on, your eyes can't even see 30 frames per second. What's the point of even going faster than that? Although manufacturers use it for marketing purposes, i suppose.
Reminds me of when audio manufacturers published specs of distortion figures so low, you couldn't even hear distortion, yet the specs kept getting better.
You say that but I find 60fps unplayable after gaming at 144hz. 30FPS hurts my eyes. Especially for fast twitch high speed competitive games.
My broke ass can't afford anything higher than 75Hz but, even that is a good help on eye strain.
Though I'd love to have one, I don't see much benefit for anything above 120/144Hz unless you play games competitively.
I keep thinking about all the hardware required to increase frame rates refresh rates. There's a point of diminishing returns. I'd say you're right on about 120/144 Hz.
Good news is that prices have come down quite a bit for decent monitors that are 100-144Hz. For example: https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-24mr400-b This one's IPS too so colours are good unlike many low tier TN panel displays. As a side note, as much as I hate reddit, one of the very few subreddits that's worth a shit is the buildapcsales one, as it's a good place to find deals on PC parts on accessories. You can always check out that place for monitor sales and such if you ever feel the itch to upgrade.
Hey, thank you.
my 3rd 60hz monitor is my media monitor but not a gaming one. I use that for yt.

If you unironically believe this you might be even dumber than the "trust the science" vaxtards and dare I say, even the "never forget the six million" zionist christcucks. All you have to do is try out a high refresh rate display for yourself. I can tell you the difference between 60 and 120 is night and fucking day. For me personally, I can see that 240 is even clearer than 120, but it's not as significant of a jump as it is between 60 to 120 or 30 to 60.

I absolutely agree. I cannot use a 60hz monitor anymore now that I know how good 144 hz is. Just draging a window across the screen, it's obvious.
I keep my main display at 60Hz for non-gaming use since it can only do 120Hz at 1080p and not at 4K. Heck, I even play some games at 30FPS so it's not a huge deal to me. 30Hz for every day use would be terrible though, even normies would notice it.
I'm a luddite, SVGA monitors are just fine.
Ya dont know what you're missing man, your eyes will thank you.
