I’ve watched a live streamer use the Kat Walk. Some people won’t be able to use it. Its definitely not like walking normally. It relies on your feet having little friction against the surface, but there is still friction. It looks like it would be tiring to use for more than a few minutes. The person I was watching definitely got tired.
These things are interesting, but I doubt VR will become a common item anytime soon. The technology has been there for years now and it hasn’t caught on. There are great VR games, but most people would rather play on a regular monitor. Second Life has been around since 2003. It had over a million active users at one point, but it didn’t become the new internet. Most people would find VR fun to try for a day, but not full time.
