When one was recognized, it could remotely turn the ultrasonic repellents on, and crucially, by recognizing the type of animal that was present, it could set it to the proper frequency. This not only targeted the correct animal, but also prevented the repellents from running all the time, needlessly draining their batteries.

Why so much complexity? Just have a dumb PIR sensor and play both frequencies, so either animal will be repelled. Maybe the frequencies that repel the animals are also repellent to humans (low enough frequency), that would justify the AI detection of animals on camera.

I got one of the consumer versions of these and it plays multiple frequencies already. Not sure why they claim they can only play one.
