Too bad my StarTac isn't still supported. That was a great phone.
This 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, 6G reminds me of the 80s when stereo manufacturers spent a lot of resources making their systems lower distortion and higher power when the consumer didn't really care.
I want to make a phone call. The sound quality doesn't matter too much. Analog was fine. I like internet connections, 4G seems good enough to me. I have need for higher speeds. Frankly, I'd prefer better battery life.
3G was the best compromise between connection speed and availability of signal. But that does not bring enough of trendiness because current marketing doctrines say not making new stuff stales your company.
We all know who started that trend.
