If you're wondering whether to read this or not, I highly recommend it. It documents some fascinating mechanisms to essentially cripple our ability to communicate. We've already seen how the government used Twitter to subvert us. It appears they're already working to expand this idea. I won't re-explain it again.

Agreed. I figured it would be some vague conspiracy theory but finally took a look and it's concrete. It puts together the things you already knew but maybe hadn't connected into a coherent mechanism to achieve the goal. Calling it shadowbanning implies that it will be done in ways you can't easily tell it's being done so you can't interpret it in proper context.

Wow really interesting to see how joogle ai spiders look for "subversive" content. Proves how unsafe online communication is. @AOU, I get you now.

I block all scrapers/spiders/bots, but they still can scrape a few posts before they get caught and blacklisted.

That's why no usernames are showing when browsing Poal logged out.

It's little tricks like that that keep you on top. Thank you

One would have to create a whole new language with covert meanings of words that could both A. Throw off the AI and subvert the learning models (essentially troll the LLM's) and B. enable communication that conveys meaning in context that is no longer flagged.

We've done this before in minecraft, as an example and on boating accidents, we would need to essentially create infinite dog whistles out of common terms as they tighten the belt.

That's exactly the reason I had such a problem with anticlutch, it wanted specific explicit phrasing that could be used as a snapshot of clearly defined, non ambiguous in court , language. If I talk about a boating accident, I want legal reasonable doubt that I meant a boating accident and nothing more.

@AOU, can we get this stickied, please?

Well i can't say I'm not surprised. With that said its alarming the direction the internet is headed according to this article.

As a personal recipient of 87% loss of engagement for the use of the words 'dual citizen', yeah.

Of course, it could have also been the 'violence gene' references as well.

Point is, I'll never know, because there's zero transparency. No warning, no 'not that', nothing.

The saddest, most pathetic part of this "approved information only" campaign is that the average Joe couldn't care less. He gets his sports scores and facebook, the random scandal of the sex lives of B-list celebrities, and scripted political commentary meant to be meaningful only enough for him to mutter, "that's bullshit!" under his breath before moving on to check the ammo prices at Bass Pro.

He wasn't upset when he learned that the NSA intercepts and stores every bit of electronic communication from his texts and emails, wasn't distressed that the DHS formed a "governance board" to determine the truth and eliminate mal-, mis-, dis- and all other unapproved information from public discourse, and he won't be upset to learn that all dissent has vanished from his screen. He never bothered to read it anyway.

New restaurant, new song, new (fake) scandal, new Netflix series, the next new car or vacation, those are the important things day-to-day. My body, electric powered, vaccine to save grandma, institutional oppression, six million, pride in all things (except you), DEI, nobody needs 30 rounds, and we know what's best for you are the approved messages. Sounds reasonable. They had better get rid of those trouble makers before they trick me and I am selected for reeducation.

I wish I had the understanding and knowledge you all seem to have about this. What I gather is, it's just about over. All the acces to true meaningful imformation. Im late to the internet. Just 10 years or so. Never played video games or anything. Poal is the only place I've ever interacted with people. Sad. I've learned so much these past few years. It makes me sick to my stomach to think this shits gonna end.
