I thought they banned porn forever ago when they tried to distance themselves from their reddit creator. They really hated being told they were created specifically as a place for redditors to pay images.
They just hid it behind a "Are you 18?" button.
I remember where they stopped having all the Reddit porn subs on their site. I think they also went through a no porn period because they wanted the advertising but I bet they let it lax some because without the porn I am sure they took a hit. They started being over sensitive in their comments sending and banning people who she goes thru didn't like. Went early woke. I quit just like I quit Reddit before that for the same reasons. It was a shame because they were once great.
From what I can tell, reddit still posts porn on imgur.

It stopped being such when they forced their HTML pages when linking directly with images. That became unusable on PCs and mobile many, many years ago.
I could care less about the NSFW nuke (hoes mad, oh noez), but deleting anonymous content is going to cause an incredible amount of link rot.
