Nothing invented so far has been a "step too far". The problem is we were conquered by international jewish bankers. The technologies we invented are used to extract wealth without any regard for their effects on health and well being, and in some cases they are used for more nefarious purposes. It's not the technology, it's the people in power that are the problem.
