I started not to watch because I figured it a scam. Then thought maybe it's a gocart or some such thing. More than a gocart and certainly interesting but they never address any of the solar math and only mention the aerodynamic efficiency (which is believable).

I'm highly suspicious of the "never charge" claims. So far, every EV company who has made these claims have been frauds. They offered nothing to support their claim.

There is a limit to how much solar energy you can convert and store depending on number of panels and amount of direct sunlight available. I think I remember hearing the company stating that it can store approximately 40mi worth of charge per day with all of the available solar panels. (The base configuration does not include all available)

So if you drive more than 40mi per day on average, you will need to charge it.
