how ? simple, to charge "your" car you need to plug into the "network", and charge can be denied

everything is there, it just need a SW update and it is done

I don’t really have a problem with electric vehicles. I do have a problem with them trying to force them on us prematurely though. It’s like expecting everyone to have internet before electricity is accessible for everyone. Lawmakers never were known for their intelligence though.

Politicians are essentially contract workers for large corporations.

Yeah, hard to believe in something that runs on a system the government is actively sabotaging when if they were serious they would be growing it. This only has one outcome nobody will be driving anything.

nobody will be driving anything.

And be happy about it.

Truthfully if I didn't have to own a vehicle and could get out of paying jewinsurance that'd be a win win.

Cost of maintenance + constant increasing jewsurance prices = xtrafail

When I was in Dubai, practically every car on the road was a Mercedes or BMW. Apparently, there was no tax on the vehicles of any kind. I was in shock when I heard how much you could buy a luxury car for. They were less than a non luxury brand in the US.

Besides the obvious economical issues, there's still a lot of unanswered logistical problems to making everything an EV. There's no option now for entire classes of vehicles, like minivans or work trucks that need to haul things for longer than an hour a day.

Also, there has been zero thought into the electrical network capacity needed to make this happen. It takes at least 10 years to build a new power plant, yet California wants everyone to have EVs by 2030, while they can't even keep the lights on today.

I'll be the devils advocate for 2 seconds here: EVs have a ton less things to go wrong like sensors and moving parts so manufacturers stand to loose alot of service revenue

Wait, you mean corporate manufacturers are just lying to us and going with the current political trend to get 0 interest loans from incompetent western governments that are attempting to emulate a Soviet era central economy? Why would they do such a thing?

So... if these are the CEOs of these supposedly powerful corporations... why are they silent? Do they think their silence will save them? They can speak up now, and get killed for it, awakening millions around the world, or remain silent and be killed quietly in a back water camp somewhere and no one will know.
