i don't know how everyone doesn't understand this. literally everyone of these project goes the same way starting with Solyndra under Obama.

Request a shitload of money for whatever "progressive" idea is the flavor of the year and label anyone opposed as a backwoods retard who doesn't understand science and hates the future generations.

Then when that money comes rolling in, the vast majority never makes it to the cause it was intended and gets eaten up by everyone with their hand out that helped pass the bullshit in the first place.

When the media gets around to covering the scam years later they just shrug their shoulders and claim the project just didn't work out.

They'll spend hundreds of billions subsidizing the unaffordable cost of EVs.

Hundreds of billions more on charging stations. (Even 500K isn't enough).

And they'll spend $0 on power plants to make it all work.

Building a new nuclear power plant takes decades, and they need to at least double the amount of electricity generation in the US for this stupid plan to work without rolling blackouts. And even more in remote locations because you'll need EV stations every 100-200 miles, even in the middle of the desert.
