These media hitpieces are always aimed against the individual Tesla accidents... just a handful of them. How many other accidents are the media ignoring in order to light a fire about this particular non-story? (Hint: There are 6 million auto accidents each year... that is over 16,000 a day. And there are 38,000 fatalities. How many of those were in Teslas with the autopilot driving?) Here is what we need to know: How many Tesla accidents were there, in how many miles driven? How many human driver accidents were there, in how many miles driven? Whenever I ask for these numbers, I get *crickets*. These are the *only* numbers that matter. They would prove once and for all that a Tesla driving is far safer than a human. Instead, we get these media hitpieces, intended to incite *feelings*. I don't care at all about feelings. Give me data. Individual anecdotes are not data.
