You have to remember that the old left (not the new woke left) are generally in favor of the working class guy rather than big business. Big tech mfg companies screwing over the avg joe is something they actually will take positive action on. The fact that Midwesterners can't pass similar legislation should tell you who those leaders are beholden to or who they don't care about.
