They really don't have to provide them, just don't go out of their way to prevent people getting the parts and manuals to do the repairs, and don't serialize components so it will reject replacements.
How anti semitic of you

Few things require a right to repair more than cars.
What you don't want to spend $22k on a Tesla battery pack?
Because I'll have to drive 500,000 miles before I need to. 20,000 gallons of gas I won't be able to buy. Pisses me off.
Just get a degree in automotive electronics so you can swap out the PCV valve, goy!
Pretty sure that procedure requires a Doctorate... and some kind of legal Bar exam.
Farmers would disagree
Why would they disagree? Last I heard, being forced to haul equipment off to dealers to wait a week or more for quick fixes was their bane. It's why a bunch of farmers flashed equipment firmware with foreign releases; so they can work on them without having to reset flags that would otherwise prevent startup after "unauthorized" parts swapping.
Few things...more ;)
Interesting legislation. Genuinely curious as to the effects.
The effects are NY residents will have to order their electronics from out-of-state vendors.
Louis Rossman was the driving force behind this, good for him
It's Rossmann, not (((Rossman))).
Its actually great this was brought up. Ive been following Rossmann for a few months now and wondered if he is jew or goy. You are telling me he is not a jew? Or are you guessing? Geninely curious because I actually like his work.
He's Italian.
Rossmann is a good guy. Been watching him and his fight for a decade or so now. I always figured him as Iranian or Romanian or something. His ethos is as anti-jew as it gets, although his take on "racism" a few years ago was bogus.
In one of his videos he explains that he is in fact part German, hence the 'mann' part of his last name (which is a German word). He said that if he were Jewish it would be 'man' with one n.
True. He looks like a kike, but isn't (he alleges).
I bet he's over the moon about this. This has been years in the making for him.
He has fought really hard, I admire the little creep
the little creep
He's born and raised in that sewer NYC, so I cut him some slack. He's doing good things with the shit hand he was dealt.
Now you will be able to repair your busted processors.
.
Holy Mothersolder!!!
It would be a lot more impressive if they did classical wire wrapping instead of point-to-point soldering using 30 gauge wire wrap wire.
which way would you go on this?
Fun fact: wire wrap actually results in a cold weld of the wire. It's wrapped so tightly that the air is pressed out so the metals touch directly, which causes welding.
We created printed circuit boards to we don't have to wire-wrap anymore.
Wire wrap stuff is great, but you need to know what you're doing. A poor wrap is as bad as a cold solder, and you really need good tools to do it. It creates a gas-tight wrap that contacts the corners of the pins and makes a connection that doesn't corrode. It's an art as well as a science, but I don't know that it's taught anymore.
What? NEW YORK actually passed this? Holy shit. The most garbage city on the planet actually passess a proper piece of legistlation. You know where right to repair has the most difficulty passing? In the mother fucking whitest mid west states.
I don't fucking understand white people. Our gods gave us grace and intellect and our people just squander it on squabbles of nonsense.
new york is a state
Heh, you got me.
You have to remember that the old left (not the new woke left) are generally in favor of the working class guy rather than big business.
Big tech mfg companies screwing over the avg joe is something they actually will take positive action on.
The fact that Midwesterners can't pass similar legislation should tell you who those leaders are beholden to or who they don't care about.
Intersting take. I will consider that.
Everyone hails this as a good thing, but I see a hidden agenda behind it. Not sure exactly, but kikes don't pass laws for our benefit. Most of these electronics are coming from china, so I doubt they will care to abide by it. Any US manufactures who are a smaller size might get shafted by this law, as they may not have the means to do so like a larger company.
Any US manufactures
...already have the means to do this. They just don't.
Possibly hyperinflated prices for proprietary tools to work on just one brand item. If I can't fix my ipod then why can I still fix my car? Makes no sense. Other than jews jewing. HWR
