I used Brave for a while on my Android. Not bad if you block their update lunks. Or the p3a links. Now I use bromite and bromite webview. Plus I use Adguard to filter all my traffic anyway.
Definitely a good move.
If you have control over your home network router, you could also setup something like pi-hole. It's a local dns server where you can setup the domain ad-blocking for your entire network. Every app, phone, computer, tv, whatever that's connecting through your wifi won't be able to get to ad/tracking sites.
Its' quite nice.

I have a pi4 and a pi0 running Adguard and unbound at my house.
Nice. Look into ODOH (Oblivious DNS Over HTTPS) if you want to go the extra mile
I used unbound briefly, until I came across ODOH

The guide is for pihole, but it's the same principle as unbound. Run a local dns server and point adguard to localhost at port 5350 (or whatever you set it to)
