Gotta build those facilities here I guess. Since China wants Taiwan so badly I guess they're planning for such a contingency. Smart. Biden's handlers are learning.

[–] 1 pt

Europe built one too.

Wars coming so the nations are making sure that they each can wage one.

The reliance on China is over

[–] 0 pt

Why rely on them to begin with? Lol their greed is coming back to bite them. That's what happens when you think your philosophy is normative.

[–] 0 pt

Greed is a sin Satan exploits.

They traded our jobs for their slave Labour thereby enriching a communist dictatorship

This was a military push folks. Several years ago when the Trump administration was in office we had several Ships in the Navy Crash into other ships. This was due to semiconductor chips. There was a rash of CPU boards that had chips imbedded in the board it’s self which means it was placed there during manufacturing. This little chip the size of a grain of rice was placed in all these board that went to many Military applications from ship board navigation to VoIP instillations. Personally found a router that was for internal process that was trying to access out side IP addresses on its own. Like it was searching for access out. Had a buddy in the Navy tell me that they had to go dark for most of his Cruise. Even the wives didn’t know where they where. But it was due to their Nav’s not working correctly. This goes deeper then you think and probably more then I know at this point. There was also several articles written about it several years ago that talk about some of this. If I can find them I’ll link the articles and update this.

Imagine Diversity hire inhaling crystal growing chemicals and getting a large payout

[–] 2 pts

Good for USA, less good for South Korea

Now, we will see how all the diversity will help with running the company

mybe they plan to import Samsung engineers over...

[–] 1 pt

think bigger.

america has been handballing semiconductor manufacture to china for more than a decade.

samsung heading to the US is big.

somethings changed in the matrix

there is a battle raging, brics against usa (europe is irrelevant)

who will win ? I bet china, why ? - they have a clear target, be number one + stop being harrassed for being number two - they have smart people, look at the IQ level, also, lots of them 1.4Billions - they have Russia nearby and IRAN in middle east - they managed to have covid under control, europe and USA are still idiotically pushing useless green-pass - they have actual engineers in planning room, not politicians - they currently produce most of the goods we buy, they are not n.1 in finance, yet

the other side - currently wasting lots of energy in BLM, diversity quota, idiotic immigration policies - currently dealing with covid in idiotic mode (not providing decent solution to mildly ill patients) - currently using finance and dollar dominance to push nations, when this will crumble it will be a crash

only time will tell, currently I am betting China

Samsungs already huge in Texas with a large fab in Austin

[–] 0 pt

I would. Better than some taco nigger working in the clean room.

[–] 1 pt

That's what the chinks did in auto factories

[–] 0 pt

I would wear a mask and face shield at a machine shop, because you're grinding metal. But not for no pussy virus.

We need to start filling out the midwest and just west of the Rockies. Our country puts too much emphasis on the coasts.

[–] 0 pt

The west coast can break off like a kit kat bar.

Taxes are to fucking high there, the gooks aren't stoopid.

[–] 1 pt

Yeah but now the only problem is texas is gonna be just as expensive as california's gotten, boise's gotten, denver's gotten, phoenix's gotten, reno's gotten.

[–] 0 pt

Elon Musk making that big factory near Austin as well.

[–] 1 pt

And austin is unaffordable now.

[–] 1 pt

There has been a large Samsung fab on the east side of Austin for about 20 years or more. Taylor is about 20 miles further out of Austin.

Last year we sold our house in a small town almost between Austin and Taylor. I just check Zillow and they say it's value is now 35% more that we got selling. I wonder how much it will go up as that plant is being built.

[–] 1 pt

UP UP UP! Just like all property. I got lucky I got mine 21 years ago, it's more than doubled in value and doubled in property taxes as well FML.

[–] 1 pt

We moved to a small town (pop about 2000) about 80 miles north of Houston. Same size house 3X the lot size, and 1/3 the property tax.

[–] 0 pt

Would I have to wear a mask if I worked there?

[–] 3 pts

They wear full body suits and get showered off before going into the clean rooms.

[–] 0 pt

In the clean rooms yes, you wear full body suits.

[–] 2 pts

I know. It was a joke. It's one of the few non-medical or hazardous jobs that it would be justified.

Ah, I still haven't had coffee yet.
