What are the sources of power on the lines; nuclear, coal, petrol, etc? How much power is lost when sending that electricity through those lines? How is electicity usage even metered from those lines, could this be used to limit and track drivers? If the answer is, we burn fuel to make electricity at power plants, and it takes net more energy to travel the same distance, why are they doing this?
