Firefox has been consistent in only one way (ever since version 21), and that is in its deathspiral. Since then, the Mozilla Mothership has chosen to improve its browser for corporate interests, while turning it into crap for the lowly enduser....in other words, it has chosen to adopt the M$ mindset. With each new version it becomes ever more difficult to neutralize the corporate malware/spyware or autoupdate 'features', without a major safari into 'about:config', so of course making that ever more difficult was no doubt at the top of their to-do list. As an XP Pro user, this is of no concern to me, as they flipped my OS the birdie long ago. As a user of the Debian-based MX Linux, this is of no concern to me, as Firefox will be kicked to the curb upon install, to be replaced by other browsers. Mypal on XP Pro, and Tor Browser on MX Linux, will very likely be the only Firefox-based browsers I'll be using. Mozilla has turned their Firefox into just another privacy-invasive junk browser like Edge or Chrome...fit only for the herd of 'tards that gleefully dismiss privacy as a thing to be disdained, and they well deserve to be made glass-citizens! May each and every idiot be granted its fervent wish to become the star of its very own 'Edtv' or 'The Truman Show '.
