Stay with Win 7 if you like that junk. EOL blarney don't mean squat....other than M$ desperately wants you to upgrade (their bank account). I stuck with XP Pro, been using it at least five hours a day, about every day, for two years now, with no problems (other than the CA nazis and their embedded security certificates store). Of all of the pussywhipped M$ parrots (raymond.cc, bleepingcomputer, etc.) promises of virus, rootkits, trojans, keyloggers, and so on.....not one has materialized, and yes, I go everywhere on the internet...including those oh-so-dangerous porn sites. That said, I'm the tinhat sort, so just to be extra safe I use MX Linux 17.1 as a Linux LiveCD for internet shopping and online banking. Eventually I'll get it installed to my secondary HDD. After nearly a year of use, it has more than passed the test-drive!
