I still think it's better to host in the US than in the EU in the current moment, because you know....article 13, hate speech laws, etc.

While in theory I would agree, in practice there just are not companies I could find that will backup your right to free speech.
So at least the company I used is specifically setup to defend unpopular political ideas. I hope someday to self host in the US and even host other sites that want free speech. Its a dream.
