Its called the "better than nothing beta" for a reason. :D but in all seriousness, the hardware tracks and tells you how much downtime it experiences. Right now, downtime due to no sats overhead is usually very low (minutes a day or less), but the "beta" downtime has fluctuated a bit more for people as they take time to set up their terrestrial ground stations and networks. In just a month or two, I'd imagine that downtime for stuff like that will be all but gone.

Currently, Some still report drop outs on things like video calls or other very time sensitive applications that won't tolerate downtime to the tune of 10-20 seconds, but that should also get a lot better in the very near future
