i've heard many YouTuber's complain that YouTube is unsubscribing their subscribers

also, in order to know whether someone you follow has published new content, you typically have to visit their channel or website and, if there is no new content, you just wasted a bit of time

there's a much better way...

news feeds are an excellent way to subscribe to blogs, websites, YouTube or other video channels, etc., and have everything presented in a unified interface without having to visit each and every site

to subscribe to news feeds, you'll need a feed reader - some email clients (Thunderbird) have a rudimentary reader built-in, but i might suggest finding an extension for your web browser instead - if you're using Firefox, check out (he may have ported that to Chrome/Chromium as well, i dunno)

what probably many aren't aware of is that sites like YouTube, BitChute, Vimeo, Odysee (LBRY) and others all create RSS feeds for each and every channel and no one is prevented from accessing them and, unlike subscribing the 'normal' way, you cannot be unsubscribed (if you're thinking these feeds won't last long, they've been around as long as YouTube has)

in the case of YouTube, you need the ID of the channel you want to follow, not the channel name - so in the case of channel, the channel name is JonnaJinton, but the channel ID is UCAk3t7WHs2zjsZpopox8Taw

to grab the ID, load any one of her videos, like

right below the video title is her name, Jonna Jinton, and if you mouse over her name you'll see a link to her channel which contains the channel ID...

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAk3t7WHs2zjsZpopox8Taw

...right click that link, copy the URL and paste it somewhere

using this template...

https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=<channel_id>

...replace <channel_id> with the actual channel ID...

https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=UCAk3t7WHs2zjsZpopox8Taw

... and you have the URL to which you can add to your feed reader

you can also subscribe to many other sites that don't advertise news/RSS feeds - for more, see:

i don't blame you a bit, but i have some knowledge of Firefox with regard to privacy (i maintain 2 extensive guides) and, at the moment, there is no viable replacement in my view - i would also suspect that the ethics (of lack thereof) of Mozilla are not entirely inline with the ethics of the Firefox developers

I don't know if there's any winning or not--I used to use Brave and now I use Dissenter.
