I know this will happen if drive letter get switched around, but even when switched back it doesn't detect the payload. I'm not entirely sure what's happening there because I would think it would attempt to make a duplicate file in the same directory, but I haven't seen that.

Yes sometimes the file name is unacceptable or too long for Windows.

QB will just try and reDL it. Check that.

I've never seen that happen in years of torrenting.

Is your hard drive failing? Check its health status.

I guess it could be. I was going to run a health test on it in stead of Winblow's Disk Management report (which says the drives are healthy).

I have several programs I can use to test the health of the drive. Do you have any tried and true recommendations?

I haven't found anything to be meaningfully better than the tools that come with your OS. Follow Scandisk's in dept options.

Only tried and true advice I have is backup your data at the first sign of a failing drive. Trying to recover it later can be a real pain.
