well, that's the thing with open source software - no one has to trust the developer or backers
were Tor proprietary and you had these same companies/foundations supporting it, that would be a massively different story
.... now i just contradicted myself because earlier i said i don't trust Tor :)
lol...we could talk around this for days...its chill. I think we both agree that Tor is no longer the answer, unfortunately the powers that be have cast enough doubt about its validity that its no longer an option...the other problem is that there is no filter on it and when you hit the index you see what comes up..even the creepy joe biden/netflix cuties kind of crap....and that shit makes me want to kill people and wipe their blood line from history.
