Uh... How did the drone find her? Don't they have only a short (~ 1 mile) range and (20 - 30m) battery life? How did they know where to send it?
Here's what really probably happened... Girl called 999 and they triangulated the call using the cell towers near by, from which point they drove close to the area and sent the drone out to take the credit so they could get positive affirmations for their new eyes in the sky. Big brother is ALWAYS watching.
