If you could "steal" my car by taking as many copies as you wanted for free, and then driving them away, I wouldn't mind at all.
You would if YOU spent the money to build and produce the car and you make your living selling them.
In a sane world people wouldn't expect to get rich making things are free to copy and distribute, like ideas. The world would be a much better place if everyone attempting to do so went bankrupt, and stopped holding back our collective progress.
