Nowt it begs the questions: "Is it okay to steal* X if the stealing of X does not harm others?"
I suppose I'd say yes, but I have to think about it more.
*some people don't like the word "steal" when talking about pirating. They'll use "sharing" or "copying" or others.
If you could "steal" my car by taking as many copies as you wanted for free, and then driving them away, I wouldn't mind at all.
You would if YOU spent the money to build and produce the car and you make your living selling them.
In a sane world people wouldn't expect to get rich making things are free to copy and distribute, like ideas. The world would be a much better place if everyone attempting to do so went bankrupt, and stopped holding back our collective progress.
