The cure it to do what I do, not pay for content online. Either buy a physical CD or download the content to your system illegally. On another site for game emulation we were talking about the current gaming trends this was around 2002 and the idea of games requiring an internet connection "I think it was Xbox" to use a game disk you bought in a real store in person on your Xbox so it can verify the game "I think it's really so they can keep a list of games that people buy for marketing purposes and sell that info later". My stand was you can buy an Xbox and buy the game but might not have internet and didn't know you needed it since the Xbox is a console and unless you like multiplayer which I stated I cannot stand and othat night after a job search to relax.er players can be assholes to play with "whiny bitches". I also stated what if you are between jobs or your hours are cut so you have to not have internet you cannot play a game after searching for work all day, since you didn't need internet back then like nowadays to fill out a job application every where now and library's did not have computers in a lot of towns like today if you need a job and since even small business's require applications be done online. I could see this trend happening long ago but I never thought the purchase of a movie that you didn't get the movie or music for real on your own hardware to use at will would occur but I gave to much credit thinking consumers would be that stupid. I knew the shit hit the fan on Reddit years ago when a guy who's ex-wife owed I believe Amazon money had his eBooks he paid for remotely removed from his kindle. It seems his wife was using their old joint account still and he ended up loosing hundreds of eBooks he hit BUY for but didn't really own shit since his kindle allowed amazon full control including deletion. This is why Windows is bad, I was reading in the future you'll rent windows and have to pay monthly or yearly and you'll be like a client computer where they'll load it with window GUI off the cloud and you won't have an actual OS installed so if you have electricity now you can do what you want on your computer but in the future if you don not pay your internet bill ISP your computer unless running Linux will be a blank screen and you cannot use it for anything except it compatible to install Linux on it instead. So my view is use Linux and free software and make sure you have in your possession a copy on your drive or physical media a copy and pirate that copy if you must and if it's a game online only then don't buy it since if they decide to pull the plug on the servers to save money you are fucked even with a physical copy. Any game that is online only do not buy, music from apple do not buy, movies on online platform you must stream every time do not buy. We must all and make your friends and relatives, go old school and use online free services but as she said read the fine print. I like most people have no qualms against downloading a thing I already bought and have the physical disk to prove it like I have a ton of CD's of music that are to scratched to listen to so I either download the songs or rip the disk and burn my own for the car. I have the CD and am only using the music in one place at one time so as long as I'm not giving out copies online or in real life my moral integrity is still maintained in my eyes. I know the law but that law was paid for by bribing politicians so it's a law that never should have happened in the first place and is anti-American.
Very thorough comment. Thank you.
