I have seen people suggesting G-droid, Aptoid and APKpure.
Of course Linux Phone would solve those troubles, unless the whole Linux project is hijacked by those creatures.

I am not that familiar with the project, but I guess it's a valid option if you want to minimize interaction with Google as much as currently possible. A problem that the Linux Phone would solve more drastically though.
