I would take not having an app over being forced to use one.
Great, it'll be even more of an echo chamber where you can't even browse informational subs anymore you found on google results.
To be fair, Reddit's usefulness has been going downhill for a long time. Seems like even most of the popular tech subs have been taken over by idiots. Last few questions I asked, all I got was "why are you doing that? Do this instead you idiot!"
Well, I'm doing "this" because that's the equipment my employer has and we're not going to replace 100,000$ of equipment because you think $standard isn't secure and you can't understand why we can't just go and buy new stuff. That's why I'm asking in subs dedicated to using this kind of equipment...
Reddit as a whole is just a website 90% full of social outcasts in denial about being social outcasts. The poor bastards think they are normies.
Yep. They're welcome to their incest porn subs. (NEVER HIT RANDOM BUTTONS. TRUST ME.)
Looks like Reddit is taking a page out of the book of another disaster of a platform known as Voat.
Anyways, safe to say that Throat-based platforms like Phuks and Poal are the future of content aggregation platforms.
Reddit and Voat are pretty fucked at this point.
No, if you cut US/WesterEurope politics (trannies, nazi and all this shit unknown to remaining 90% of the world) - reddit is an excellent source of reviews and opinions (technical, in my case - operating systems, phones, fuckin air purifiers etc). Sadly or not - is not going anywhere any soon. In my case, as a Russian, I theoretically couldnt give less fucks about madhouse freak show that US politics and culture is for the last 4 years - I find reddit irreplaceable for sorting, I dont know, 2080 RTX driver issues on Threadripper based platforms etc. But for people that try to use it for politics - well: they are just in wrong place. Blaming reddit for banning politics, which is indeed inflamatory subject, is like blaming Home Depot for not showing blockbusters. This is not a place for that. At least not for majority of users. Now try any technical things here on Poal and you will quickly understand, that this is just different audience.
Reddit hasn't worked for me for ages (on mobile anyway), it says I need the app or to use chrome. np.reddit or ceddit or removeddit are much better.
Way to reinforce the echo chamber at the expense of visibility and accessibility...
In a way this is good news, shit is fucking itself
All this means is /ourguys/ are winning.
