640 x 480 is my new-years resolution
Great write up!
Wow never realized that was how it worked
1080p / 1440p / 4k in many situations is just marketing.
If you really want to ruin someones day.
Change 4k (2160p) to 2k... 3840 x 2160 (use the right number) - 2k - they will think 1920 x 1080, but that's now 1k (1920 x 1080) - right number again.
7.5k/8k (4320p) becomes 4.5k (round up from 4320) - right side number again or 7680 x "4320" - 4.5k monitor.
since each k is 1,000 - 1,000 pixels = 1k pixels
1920 x 1080 - 2k x 1k
3840 x 2160 - 4k x 2k
7680 x 4320 - 7.5k or 8k x 4k or 4.5k (depending if you round up or round down to the nearest 500 or 1000).
buddy almost got shot this way though...

4k monitor vs 4.5k monitor vs 1080p monitor... really to just fuck with someones day.
3840 x 2160 - 4k monitor (3840 - rounded up to 4,000 or 4k)
7680 x 4320 - switch to the number on the right (4320 rounded up to 4,500 or 4.5k) - 4.5k monitor
1920 x 1080 - then switch back to 1080"p" or 1080p - 1080p monitor
They could all be said this way (even if just "technically") and have it be correct, but it's extremely confusing to most people is what it is though nonetheless.
Not true this, not true that. Next thing you'll tell me is that my 1 terabyte drive doesnt have 1024 gigabytes of storage room!
960 GB type stuff or whatever plus other parts are used if not 1024 (completely 1024 GB) gigabytes or true 1024 gigabyte - 1 terabyte hard drives.
Exabyte hard drives and zettabyte hard drives. It's a major problem. This one guy was trying to sell me a 700 exabyte hard drive as a zettabyte hard drive.
I just said I'm yotta (yottabyte) here at that point.
but true what you said.
Damn, when my printer won't print, I know who to call !
I can't stand regular paper printers. There's so many drivers for printers alone and even the same company basically has a different one for each printer if not a bunch of printers within in a group, but the company has drivers for all of them alone and even then they still act up or something isn't working very well.
paper printers are terrible. I think mine has a USB and I think that's the way standard paper printers should go or something should be that way at least since I don't want to hassle with it every time I want to print and such.
My 3D printer works just fine if I hook up a USB and tell it what to print. Makes me want to do that with a regular paper printer and not to deal and/or hassle with anything alone at that point.
