It would be great if Google actually replaces Android with Fuchsia. Doing so should eliminate the lack of carrier and OEM support for the latest updates, assuming Google does an Apple and takes charge of updates, which would be layered to make updates easier for Google to control. To have Android morph into something like Fuchsia will likely leave old cruft in the code, like Microsoft has with the schizophrenic Windows 10.
