It's not that simple. Even if they switch to fake meat they still need the nutrients needed to grow that meat. They could kick cattle out of the EU but they'd still need the fields to grow corn or wheat to process into those nutrients. Gates is buying farmland in the US which I suppose could be producing some of those nutrients but that's farmland that'd be producing other crops for elsewhere. Something else is going on.
