Her audience is leftists who believe Western nations are also big contributors to climate change. She's saying if you believe you as an individual can impact climate change, try to do so in a way that doesn't burn you out.

No, her point is that in order to avoid burn out people should focus on community activism, community support, and community building rather than thinking they have to change the world alone. I think that's a valuable lesson for anyone.
Otherwise why would they be burning out on something they don't even believe in in the first place?
Doomers don't start out as Doomers, they become Doomers. The burn out she's talking about is believing the world is an inevitably doomed place. You can care about things at first, but if you go about it wrong, you can lose that passion and optimism.
