The recall impacts Up & Up’s fragrance-free and cucumber-scented baby wipes. According to the Food and Drug Administration, customers complained of discoloration on the wipes, so the agency conducted some testing. The testing revealed the presence of two bacteria – Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli – in samples. An infection with either bacterium could turn serious in infants, so Target decided to recall the products out of caution.
