>Hyundai is recalling over 135,000 of one of its most important cars over potential fire issues.
On Wednesday, safety regulators confirmed that the South Korean automaker recalled certain 2024 and 2025 Santa Fe SUVs.
The issue stems from a potential electrical short that could occur during a crash. If certain engine components crumple, the SUV risks catching fire.
Impacted vehicles were built between December 2023 and July 2025 at Hyundai's Alabama assembly plant. The recall only impacts gas-powered models.
Hyundai says it already has a fix ready, and owners will begin receiving recall notices in early December.
