>Persilux issued an urgent recall of approximately 133,000 zebra blinds due to risks of strangulation and entanglement. The company found the blinds to have long operating cords that could cause deaths or serious injuries to children. They were available in five colors between the sizes of 22 to 73 inches wide and 64 to 72 inches high. Sold from June 2023 through June 2025 on Amazon, the impacted items cost between $40 and $124. Each product has 'X003FFPT63' printed on barcode labels. The products also violate a federal rule for window coverings and violated labeling requirements. No injuries or deaths have so far been reported to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

This has ALWAYS been an issue. Doesn't everyone on the planet know this? Just a few weeks ago I cut all the blind cords on my grand kids window blinds in their house. DUH,,,,,

I never tried to stick my head through those things but did get a hand/finger stuck as a little kid. I figured it out. Though, I get it.

You would be surprised how many kids are killed or injured by those cords. Up playing on the bed next to the window, cord gets around the neck and they fall off the bed or some freaky shit. Even when I am working on peoples houses I tell them about it and cut their cords. I've never had anyone object.

Yo-Yo's kill a lot of kids every year because they end up getting it around their neck and it just keeps getting tighter. I probably nearly died hundreds of times as a kid x.x I am not dumb but I am curious.

We get those "lift blinds" and have the stick to open/close them. They seem to be less likely to cause those problems. Don't have kids, want them though.

I cut them in my last apartment and I only have cats. It's mind boggling.
