The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) posted the voluntary recall of the BowFlex 552 and 1090 adjustable dumbbells on Thursday. The CPSC, along with maker Johnson Health Tech Trading, said the recall was necessary 'due to reports that the weight plates can dislodge from the handle during use, posing an impact hazard.' The weightlifting equipment was sold at Costco as well as other popular stores such as Best Buy and Dick's Sporting Goods.
