>LG has recalled 500,000 electric range ovens due to a fire hazard that has caused extensive property damage, minor injuries and killed several pets. The Korea-based company recalled 22 models of its Slide-In and Freestanding Electric Ranges after finding the front-mounted knobs can be accidently activated by humans or pets. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has received at least 86 reports of unintentional activation, which has caused more than 28 fires.
