I think I read it here a long time ago. It made sense to me because when you are crossbreeding wild cats like servals they do generations of F1-F6 as generations separated from the wild cat. After F6 it is MOSTLY just a cat again.

While there's probably some of that, I would also say that when a mixed race looks in a mirror, he looks more like a negro than a white; the hairs, the eye colors, skin tones, facial features/traits sometimes too. It's just a fact
