If you're buying for a SHTF barter scenario, I wouldn't bother with quality, at least for most of it. If people are desperate enough to trade goods for booze, they likely won't care if it's top shelf. Maybe keep a couple of bottles of good stuff if you're bartering with someone who knows what it is and the deal merits it.

My understanding is that most people in SHTF scenarios aren't bardering alcohol for consumption purposes. Beam would meet most basic needs.
Vodka and everclear are some more great options. It doesn't need to be top shelf. Think sterilization.
I would also suggest if you haven't already, research previous conflicts and get a good picture of how bardering worked for folks in those situations. It's not pretty or easy.
Things like how many people are in your immediate group and ensuring they are armed and proficiant, etc... become a lot more important than bardering to be honest.
