Number five. Natural disasters

Live without electricity for a few days. When it comes back on and the roads are clear, you'll start prepping. When I talk to others about prepping, I always site natural disasters as the number one cause. Simply because, you never know. Also, it leaves the political arena out of the conversation, while addressing the reason why the electrical grid is down for an extended period of time. Doesn't take much. Just buy an extra of what you already bought - because that's what you'll be using. An extra can of this, an extra pack of batteries, an extra [insert commodity here.] Reminder that, in times like those, money isn't king, finite commodities are. (Until the flow of commodities can be replenished at or above demand.) Filling bellies, safety (and keeping warm, where applicable) are the number one priorities. Get stocked up, get armed and stay that way. Takes about a week into a grid down for the civilized part of our society to begin to break down. (Because hunger and hopelessness.) At the two week point, it's gone.

(Had to spell out number five, it changed it to a 1. Idk how, it just did.)

I actually don't consider myself a "prepper" as such. I'm just someone who doesn't want to be so dependent on someone else's infrastructure. I did just what you said: I have spare gas, generator, big house sized batteries to power my well and refrigerators, food stocked up, wood for a stove and so on. All stuff I use anyway.

I am entirely convinced that there will be unprecedented natural disasters in the United States during the years ahead as our very shaky planet becomes even more unstable

These "natural" disasters are anything but natural.

a whopping 52 percent of U.S. voters “say they or someone in their household owns a gun"

I know many people who own dozens of guns. Come on man!

If you have not been getting prepared for the collapse of society, I would very strongly encourage you to do so.

I tell people who are totally unprepared by now, not to worry, that the Fuck Joe Biden administration has everything under control. Seriously, at this point, they are way past no return.
